We’ll restore public confidence to succeed, new Gombe Police Commissioner, Babatunde assures

Newly posted Police Commissioner in Gombe State, Mr. Ishola Babatunde has declared that for him to succeed in his duty, the people must first of all have confidence in the Police to protect them and their properties from criminals.
He then promised that he will work on restoring the confidence of the people of Gombe State on the Police Force stressing that to achieve this, he will ensure that due process of the law was followed while the human rights of the people will also not be infringed upon. He also explained during his maiden briefing to the press shortly after taking over the Command that while ensuring that the Police operate with human face, it will however ensure that criminal elements are not comfortable in Gombe State. Ishola Babatunde further said that, rapist, kidnappers and other criminals that have become prevalent in the State will henceforth not go scot free assuring that good service delivery to keep Gombe calm and peaceful throughout his tenure will be upheld by the Police in Gombe. The CP stressed that, "We will entrench intelligence as well as community Policing and we will also work in synergy with other security agencies to ensure a serene atmosphere in Gombe State". He then assured that "There will be zero tolerance to corruption and any officer involved will not go scot free. Police will also be feasible in all nook and cranny of the State so that communities will not only feel secured, but will be truly secured".
