One of the support groups for the presidential candidate of Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi has said they are working assiduously to mobilise Nigerians to join their resolve to change the political narratives in the country next year.

Coordinator of Peter Obi Integrity Network for Transformation (POINT), Mr Etom Ofem told journalists at the end of their meeting in Calabar Thursday night that they have started to visit local wards in parts of the state to sensitise and mobilise for the objective.

“We are poised to change political narratives in this country. We need a new party to take over national government.

“We are working hard to achieve our objective. We are using our private resources to do this. Our individual officers are also resolved to forge on as a sacrifice because of our objective next year.

“We are also visiting other chapters within a space of over four weeks to preach gospel of Transformation and mobilise electorate for our principal, Mr Peter Obi.

He said even though they are still in the process of streamlining various chapter excos yet it was important for his team to start the solidarity visitation at wards in Odukpani LGA of the state.

According to him, the support base and leadership have been massive and proactive.

“Our membership base in the state has grown beyond expectation in over four weeks of inauguration”, he said

He further called on Nigerians not to sit by idly, wishing for a better change but to rise positively and join teams to take over power from other parties.

Another key official of the group, Madam Patience Najimi asserted that they are going all out to speak to the people about changing political fortunes of the country.
