Why sallah may delay Adamawa June salary

The Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has explained why the delay in the payment of June salary for civil servants.

The Governor stated this in a statement through his Chief Press Secretary, Humwasho Wunosikou.

According to Fintiri, the keeping with its tradition of salary payment on 23rd or 24th day of every month Government will not renege, but explains that because of the upcoming Sallah celebration expected on July 10th, salary will be paid at the end of the month just in time for Sallah.

He said, “This is to ensure the people celebrate conveniently as Sallah is around the corner, I assure all that salaries would be paid by the end of this month.”

Governor Fintiri appreciates Civil Servants for their patience and understanding, adding that “the delay is to enable them celebrate Sallah without any challenge.”
