Wikki Tourists FC, Bauchi out of relegation, remains in Premier League

Two goals from Hassan Musa and Nazifi Yahaya in the 22nd and 40th minutes of match day 38 of the Nigeria Premier Football League 20/21 season against Adamawa United ensured that WIkki Tourists FC will compete in the coming 21/22 Nigeria Football League Season.
Prior to Thursday’s game, tension was high and there was also apprehension that Wikki Tourists may be heading for relegation should the team fail to secure a convincing victory against Adamawa United given the dicey situation and other permutations on the league log.
But the anxiety and apprehension are now over as Wikki Tourists beat Adamawa United 2-0.
Although the position was not what Wikki Tourists and its fans wanted but then it is far better than being relegated.
Coach Abdullahi Adamu in a post match interview attributed the feat to hard work, commitments and dedication exhibited by everybody in the team including Supporters and other stakeholders.
I’m happy with the result and a tleast we will remain in the league for next Season, Abdullahi emphasised.
WIkki Tourists finished 15 in the league with 45 points from 38 matches according to the Media officer of the Club, Nasiru Abdullahi Kobi. 
Meanwhile, Management of Wikki Tourists fc has expressed gratitude to the State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed for his support to the team especially during the 20/21 NPFL Season.

Secretary of the Club, Comrade Abdullahi Ibrahim made the appreciation while chatting with Journalists on the just concluded 20/21 Nigeria Professional Football League Season.
The secretary said that the immeasurable support of the Governor was what kept the team going and ensured it continued stay in the league for next season.
The Wikki scribe was also appreciative of all those who in one way or the other contributed to the success Club before,during and after the Season.
On the club’s preparations ahead of next season the secretary said the club will wait for the technical report and immediately swing into action and lapses identified during the season will be addressed.
He solicited for more support from the government and also prayers from the teeming supporters of the club.
