Days after Adamu Abdullahi made it public that he has been forced to resign from his position as the Technical Adviser of Wikki Tourists FC, Management of the Club has said that it has not formally received the resignation letter from the embattled Technical Adviser.
The disclosure was made by the Chairman of Wikki Tourists FC, Alhaji Balarabe Yusuf Douglas in an interview with Sports Journalists in his office.
According to the Chairman, Board members of the Club also saw the letter on Social Media.
According to him, “I want to tell you that we are yet to formally receive any letter of resignation from the Coach, we only saw it on Social Media just like the way you might have seen it, and when we saw it, we called him to find out what was happening.”
He added that, “and he promised to come to the office but since then, we didn’t see him, he even promised to take the training this morning (Wednesday, 12/4/2023) but unfortunately he didn’t show up, so we don’t know what’s happening.”
Balarabe Yusuf added that, “If he knew he was leaving, We expect him to officially submit his resignation letter just like the way we unveiled him for documentation purposes.”
The Chairman further said that his reaction is to clear the air on the issue because of the numerous calls he received and reports he has seen in the Media.
It could be recalled that on Monday, 10/4/2023 a letter of resignation of Wikki Tourists Technical Adviser, Abdullahi Adamu was seen on the Social Media and dominated the Sports air waves.
The development has further confirmed that Wikki Tourists FC is currently emmeshed in management crisis in recent times considering that few months ago, Kabiru Dogo resigned as the Technical Adviser of the Club while the Club is seriously battling relegation as it is presently swimming in the murky waters of relegation.
