The Frontline Women Alliance for Development of the Akwanga Local Government Area in Nasarawa State has announced their endorsement of President Ahmed Tinubu’s candidacy for a second term in office.
This decision was made during a Christmas homage visit to the Director General of the National Directorate of Employment, His Excellency Silas Agara, at his residence on Thursday.
The residence of Silas Agara transformed into a melting pot of diverse socio-cultural groups who gathered to pay their Christmas respects.
The occasion was marked by celebrations, with groups donning traditional attire that represented their cultures, fostering joy and camaraderie that embodies the Christmas spirit.
The gathering served as an excellent opportunity to discuss national politics and set the agenda for the upcoming elections, allowing various groups to share insights on the political direction of the country.
Amidst discussions, several groups expressed curiosity regarding Silas Agara’s potential political aspirations in the next election.
But the Frontline Women Alliance for Development, Akwanga chapter, conveyed their appreciation to President Tinubu for appointing Agara to lead the affairs of the NDE.
After a thorough evaluation of President Tinubu’s leadership, the group unanimously described it as people-driven, firmly leading to their decision to endorse his candidacy for a second term in office.
Silas Agara, visibly moved by their support, remarked on the significance of unity as one of 20 staunch advocates endorsing President Tinubu amidst concerns regarding the MM ticket during the last election, just as he described the president as a destribalized and patriotic leader.
He addressed some challenging policies initiated by the president, which have been tough on Nigerians, insisting they serve as necessary measures to rectify past mismanagement that hindered the nation’s development.
He expressed optimism that Nigeria stands on the verge of recovery, stressing that the North Central political region has never experienced such representation until the current administration.
Agara encouraged the people of North Central Nigeria to reciprocate the president’s commitment by supporting his continued leadership, which he believes is essential for sustaining the progress made thus far.
