Alhaji Wali appointed Yobe Ag. SSG
Newly inaugurated Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni has made his first appointment few hours after being sworn in as governor of the North-East state.
He appointed Alhaji Baba Mallam Wali as the acting Secretary to the State Government (SSG). Aljai Wali was the substantive SSG during the out gone administration of Ibrahim Gaidam.
The announcement was contained in a statement posted in Facebook timeline of Alhaji Abdullahi Bego, Director-General of Press Affairs to Governor Buni. Bego held the same position in the previous regime.
According to the statement, Alhaji Wali was born in Nguru on December 25, 1958 and graduated with BA (Hons) Geography in 1981 from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria. He held various government positions and was pioneer Yobe State Coordinator, National Poverty Eradication Programme (NAPEP) during Olusegun Obasanjo regime.
