Yobe Singer’s Forum expels 9 members for mocking, disrespecting Governor Buni

Chairman Board of Trustees of the Yobe State All Progressives Congress (APC) Singers forum has confirmed the expulsion of nine members for allegedly attacking, ridiculing, mocking and disparaging Yobe State Governor Hon. Mai Mala Buni.

This was contained in a statement by the Chairman, Board of Trustee, Mamman Ali Masco and Legal Adviser, Barrister Mustapha Hassan.

He said the nine members were suspended for the violating the constitution of Yobe APC Singers forum, causing unnecessary tension and unrest in the Forum and subjecting the Forum into public abuses.

However, following a meeting of the Board of Trustee and a thorough consultation with relevant stakeholders and considering the gravity of the song and its attendant impact, approved the dismissal from the Forum with immediate effect.

Masco described the singing a song that conveys character assassination, disparaging very important persons, ridiculed and caused a serious disrepute to the office and personality of Executive Governor of Yobe State Mai Mala Buni.

“Your actions was in clear breached of Article 8 and 13 (2) of the constitution of Yobe State APC Singers Forum and other extant rules and regulations of the Forum,” he said.

Those affected are Suleiman S. Jafar (Madakin Wanka), Abubakar Mohd Dunga, Annur Potiskum, Bakura BK, Fati Mohd (Fati Yobe), Mohd Dayyabu (Jitan Yobe), Izzudden Magaji Doko, Ismail Sani and Maijida Ali.

In another development one of the popular singers Mohammed Ibrahim Nagudu, called on the general public, APC supporters and well-wisher to disregard the recent songs that attacked the personality of Yobe State Governor, Hon. Buni.
