Yobe students to get bursary allowances February 14 – Official

Yobe State Scholarship Board says it will begin second phase payment of bursary allowances to indigent students in tertiary institutions across the country on February 14.
This is contained in a statement by Tijjani Chiroma, the Board’s Public Relations Officer, on Wednesday in Damaturu.
Chiroma, who did not disclosed the number of beneficiaries and the amount to be disbursed, said the exercise was sequel to the directives of the state governor.
“On the mandate of Gov. Mai Mala Buni, the Yobe State Scholarship Board has made all arrangements to embark on the of payment of domestic scholarships.
“The exercise which will be to Yobe indigenes in tertiary institutions across the country, is expected to begin on Monday Feb. 14, 2022,” he said.
He listed the institutions to include Federal University Gashua, Annur Islamic Institutions, and other tertiary institutions in Yobe; Gombe, Katsina, Jigawa, Bauchi, Nasarawa, Plateau, Sokoto States and Federal Capital Terrory (FCT).
According to him, the board will release timetable on the dates and schools to benefit from the exercise. (NAN)
