Young Planners beat Aduwan Gida to clinch southern Kaduna Soccer Peace Cup

Young Planners FC of Ungwan Rimi Bajju has clinched fourth edition of Madakiya Peace Soccer Tournament in Southern Kaduna.
The competition was organised for 20 youth football teams in southern Kaduna and environs and is meant to foster unity and understanding among them.
Young Planners beat rivals Aduwan Gida FC 2-1 at full time, on Sunday at Madakiya playground in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna state.
Gwong FC from Kagoma, Jema’a LGA clinch third place after beating ABA FC from Abuja.
Speaking with newsmen shortly after the match, the league coordinator, Mr. Lucius Sylvester congratulated the winners for exhibiting team spirit.

He thanked the sponsor of the tournament for his contribution to promoting peace among the youths of the area.
Sylvester attributed lack of fund as one of their biggest challenge in the competition, hence the need for more stakeholders to invest in the peace building competition across southern part of the state
He called on the youths not to subject themselves to be used as vehicles of destructions.
In his remarks, the Grand Sponsor Yusuf Duniya said he decided to sponsor the tournament to foster unity among youths in the area and urged them to embrace each other and live a peaceful life with everybody.
He also thanked the security personnel for continuously engaging the youth positively in activities that promotes friendship and harmonious coexistence.
She called on all and sundry to contribute and support the peace efforts of the state and the security agencies as no meaningful development can take place without peace.
He congratulated the participants for a success competition and urged them to sustain the team spirit.
Echima Ugofor from ABA FC was awarded with certificate as the Best Defender, Gabriel Danladi from Young Planners Ungwan Rimi; Best Goalkeeper, Ezra Clement from Living Stone Academy; Most Valuable Player.
Others are; Linus Phillip of Young Planners as Best Coach and Sunday Olanrewaju from ABA FC as the Highest Goal Scorer.
Also, awards are presented to the Commandant, Sector 7 of Operation Save Haven (OPSH), Brigadier General Timothy Opurum, Colonel M. Musa, Dr. Solomon Yabaya and the District Head of Madakiya, Mr. Kantiyok
