You’re selected to change narrative- Adamawa Governor, Fintiri to local government chairmen

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri has urged the newly selected 21 local government councils chairmen to changed the narrative of the state.
“Just as the State Government did within thirty-one months in developing the state and so I expect same from all of you”.
The Governor stated this shortly after swearing in caretaker Chairmen at the Mahmud Ribadu Square, Yola.
Governor Fintiri words, “I want you to do the same for the people by deploying development at the wards and Local Government by using their meager funds and with support from the government.
“With election coming up in the next ninety days, it is expected that you would ensure the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is deepen in the grassroot and so you should do your best.
The State Governor who assured the caretaker Chairmen that no ward or local government will be left untouched in the development process.
Fintiri congratulated them for the appointment and added that they must carry the people along.
Governor Fintiri however advocated that the PDP presidency be zoned to the Northeast and for former vice-president Atiku Abubakar and called on the people of the state for support.
Speaking earlier, the State Chairman of PDP, Barrister Abubakar Tahir Shehu reminded the appointees to note that their appointment should be seen as simple luck but not that they were the best.
He also reminded them not to see their appointment as one that they should enrich themselves through toll gates and others.
Tahir equally called for the total support for Fintirs re-election and for support for Abubakar Atiku’s ambition.
In a response on behalf of his colleagues Professor Abba Tahir said their appointment came as a surprise and unprecended appointment.
Tahir recorded the first Professor for the Post of Chairman in the North of the country assured they will work with all communities as Ambassadors of the people.
