Youth Alliance in Nasarawa urges Agara to join 2027 governorship race

Youth group under the umbrella of Nasarawa Patriotic Youth Alliance (NAPYA) has intensified call on Director General, National Directorate of Employment, Dr Silas Agara to join the 2027 governorship race in Nasarawa State.
Mr Jude Osewu, NAPYA Coordinator for Nasarawa Southern Senatorial Zone made the call on Monday in Doma Local Government Area of the state.
Osewu said that Agara who was a former deputy governor of Nasarawa state has demonstrated unprecedented leadership capacity in every given assignment and position he has found himself since 2003 till date.
He noted that Agara’s antecedents, especially his exemplary leadership, impressive credentials, and unwavering dedication to the progress of Nasarawa State made him the ideal candidate for the exalted position.
“As a visionary leader, he has consistently demonstrated remarkable prowess in governance, leadership, and community service, inspiring countless individuals and communities.
“With his impeccable service as former Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State and current DG of NDE, Agara has proven himself to be a transformative leader, capable of driving meaningful change and development.
“His tireless efforts to empower the youth, promote economic growth, and facilitate educational attainment have earned him widespread recognition and admiration,” he said.
Osewu said that as a role model for the youth constituency, Agara has championed remarkable initiatives that have placed many young people in leadership positions, provided economic empowerment, and facilitated higher educational attainment.
He said that Agara’s leadership was characterised by integrity, transparency, and a clear vision for the development and progress of Nasarawa State.
“Given his impressive credentials and achievements, we appeal to him to join the Nasarawa State governorship race in 2027 as the most qualified and competent leader the state has been waiting for.
“We urge the party leadership to consider Agara the main candidate and allow him to represent the party in the gubernatorial election.
“We, also urge Agara to consider accepting to be the flag bearer of his party and allow the state to benefit from his expertise, vision, and great leadership,” he said.
The NAPYA Nasarawa Southern Senatorial Zone meeting which was held in Doma LGA drew coordinators from across LGAs; Jude Osewu, Doma, Mujahid Isma’il, Obi, Agyetegba Abubakar, Keana, and Nata’ala Muhammad Awe LGAs respectively.
It will be recalled that Nasarawa Patriotic Youths Alliance (NAPYA) made similar calls on Agara at Nasarawa West and Nasarawa North Senatorial Zones to join the 2027 Governorship race in the state.
