Youth leader’s scholarship to students attracts former Senate President, other PDP stakeholders to Nasarawa

Some bigwigs of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) including Chief Anyim Pius Anyim, Former Senate President are expected in Nasarawa state on March 20, 2022 in support of scholarship presentations to students of some selected universities in the state by the Idris Ojoko Foundation.

This is contained in a statement signed by Comrade Idris Ojoko, Founder of the NGO and made available to newsmen in Lafia on Tuesday.

Apex News Exclusive reports that Ojoko is the immediate past chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Nasarawa state chapter and a youth leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)

According to Ojoko, the scholarship gesture in commemoration of his 2022 birthday celebration was also borne out of his desire to support youths, especially university students from within and outside the state in their quest to complete their university education so that they can contribute positively to the development of the state and country in their areas of specialization after graduation.

He said the positive and lasting impact of the gesture is set to attract party leaders across the country to attend the ceremony in support of the gesture and to motivate the students with useful leadership and success tips for a better future.

The statement adds that aside Anyim, those expected at the event among others are PDP National Youth Leader, Prince Mohammed Suleiman Kadade; Hon. Francis Orogu, PDP Nasarawa state Chairman; Hon. Mohammed Chindo Yamusa, PDP Financial Secretary, North Central; Prof. Usman Umar Shehu, Lecturer with the Nigerian Police Academy, Wudil, Kano; Mr Noma Ogah, PDP Zonal Chairman, Nasarawa West and Hon. Chinda Adams, PDP Chairman, Kokona LGA.

“The maiden edition of this presentation of scholarships will take place at Kokona Pilot Primary School, Kokona LGA, Nasarawa State by 1pm,” he said.
