Zakaat, Waqf Foundation donates 1,500 copies of Holy Qur’an in Jama’a

An Islamic charitable organisation, Zakaat and Waqf Foundation, has distributed 1,500 copies of the Holy Qur’an to 30 Islamic and Qur’anic Schools across Jema’a Local Government Area in southern part of Kaduna State.

The Foundation is distribution 40,000 copies of Holy Qur’an and some Islamic Books across the 23 LGA’s of Kaduna state.

The Jama’a Zone coordinator of the Foundation in Kaduna state, Malam Abubakar Sadik Dahiru, said the donation were part of the organisation’s charity work and propagation of Islam through promoting the teachings of the Holy Qur’an.

He said the 30 schools were chosen after a rigorous selection process in the local government in order to aide teaching of the holy book to pupils and students of the respective schools.

He explained that the distribution of the Qur’an is part of their project and urged the beneficiary schools/pupils to make judicious use of the holy books given to them.

Also speaking, Sheikh Bala Bawa Ibrahim Kafanchan, commended the foundation for the kind gesture and urged the students to make use of the holy books, not to keep under lock and key.

Responding on behalf of the schools, Dr Salihu Dankaka of Madrasatu Hayatul Islam commended the foundation and pledged to distribute the holy books to their students.
