Zamfara Governor, Matawalle distributes 104 cars to Judiciary workers

Zamfara State Governor, Bello Mohammed Matawalle has distributed 104 brand new Hyundai cars to judiciary staff including Chief Registrars, members of the Judicial Service Commission, Magistrates, and Sharia Court Judges.

The distribution was performed by the Attorney-General of the federation and Minister of Justice, Barr. Abubakar Malami SAN who was Special Guest at the event which is part of many activities lined up for the second year anniversary of the Matawalle-led administration in the state.

According to a statement by Yusuf Idris Gusau Director General, Media Public Enlightenment and Communication, Matawalle said the gesture is aimed at easing the transportation needs of the beneficiaries and to ensure service delivery especially in the quick dispensation of justice thereby eliminating unnecessary delays at the courts throughout the state.

He also observed that it is in recognition of the exalted position of the judiciary in a liberal democratic tradition, particularly its being an independent government arm that works in the same spirit as the executive and legislative arms to ensure good governance.

Matawalle expressed his leadership resolve to dearly uphold the sanctity of the judiciary as a vital instrument in the dispensation of justice and an interpreter of our constitution.

He noted that like all true democracies, his administration is determined to continue to work towards maintaining the independence and efficiency of the judiciary and promote its capacity for quick adjudication as a beacon of hope to the common man.

Similarly, the governor led the minister to the commissioning of the Presidential Lodge which is housed within the perimeters of the Government House, initiated and fully completed by his administration along side other projects including 18 executive chalets and renovation of the Government House.

He thanked the visiting minister for his brotherly love to the government and people of Zamfara.
