200 farmers receive grants to improve output in Zangon Kataf, Jaba LGs in Kaduna

No fewer than 200 large and small scale farmers in Zangon Kataf and Jaba local government areas in Kaduna State received grant to boost their Agricultural growth and development.
The grant which was at the instance of a former staff of the National Assembly and philanthropist turn politician, Gideon Jock was distributed in Zonkwa, Zangon Kataf local government headquarters.
Speaking to newsman at the ceremony which took place at Zonkwa the headquarters of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Gideon Jock, mentioned that the agricultural programme was sponsored by Wadata Group Limited as part of the organization’s support to those who have been contributing to the development of their communities.
The politician cum philanthropist went further to say, “the scheme has group A, B, C and D depending on the farmer’s capacity in farming. Group A who are over 150 in number received a cash grant of N200, 000 each, group B received N100, 000 each, and group C received N50, 000 each. While group D received N20, 000 each.
“What our people are suffering right now is the high cost of fertilizer and some farming inputs. So, this grant, I believe is going to boost agricultural development in the region,” with the promised that the scheme is going to be in a continuous process,” he stressed.
He also donated 21 tricycles to the persons living with disabilities in the 21 wards of Zango-kataf/Jaba Federal Constituency.
