2019: IPAC ex-chair cautions against candidates’ imposition
National Chairman, Progressive Peoples Alliance (PPA) Chief Ameh
A former national chairman of Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Chief Peter Ameh on Friday in Abuja warned leaders of political parties against imposition of candidates for the 2019 general elections.
Chief Ameh is the national chairman of the Progressive Peoples Alliance (PPA).
According to him, only credible candidates would win elections and rescue the nation from the current socio-economic and security logjam.
He made the remarks when a chieftain of the party, Dr. O’diakpo Obire obtained his expression of interest and nomination forms for the Delta State Governorship elections.
Ameh pointed out that a transparent electoral process would minimise violence and court cases before and after 2019.
The chairman assured that the party was going to run free, fair and transparent primaries.
