Bauchi State chapter of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has organized a special prayer session for the State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, his political appointees and those aspiring for elective offices in the 2023 general election.
Chairman of Bauchi State PFN, Pastor Promise Nuhu Yohanna admonished Clergymen in attendance on the importance of fervent prayers in the life of a believer and the responsibility bestowed upon him by God regarding praying for leaders who are constituted authorities by God Almighty.
Promise Yohanna added that the PFN made it a duty to not only pray but give sound counsel and caution where necessary as spiritual fathers.
He then charged Church leaders to always pray for peace, unity and cohesion among our communities so that peaceful coexistence can be encouraged and promoted.
Pastor Mike Akor had earlier led a session of prayers calling on God to intervene in the myriad of problems facing the country making life difficult as people cannot any longer move freely.
In his remarks, the SSA, Christian religious affairs to the Governor, Pastor Zakka L Magaji appreciated the leaders of the Fellowship for the concern and prayers for the state and the government.
As a believer, he acknowledged the power of prayer and understands the blessings it unlocks pleading with the PFN to make such a prayer frequent as it changes situations and makes impossibilities possible.
Other remarks were given by Barr Kefas Magaji who is aspiring for Membership of the NASS to represent Bogoro/Dass /Tafawa Balewa as well as Dr Esther Ahmed Kadala, Executive Secretary SDGs; Hon Daniel Mazadu, Executive Chairman of Tafawa Balewa LGA; Rev (Dr) Damina Abraham, CAN Chairman Bauchi State and Bishop Hillary N Dachelem , Bishop, Bauchi Catholic Diocese.
During the prayer session, the central focus was appreciation, encouragement, sensitization and assurances of better performances for the good of the people of the state.
Also present were: Bishop Emmanuel Kanti, General Overseer, Christ Alive International; Hon Musa Wakili Nakwada, Member of BAHA representing Bogoro; Hon. Briska Jerome an aspiring member of BAHA for Dass LGA.
Others were: Hon.Samuel J Haruna,
Executive Secretary, Christian Pilgrims welfare Board; Hon Samuel Lawan, aspiring for the membership of the NASS to represent Bogoro/Dass /Tafawa Balewa Federal Constituency; Hon. Bilkisu Timothy Musa a PDP chieftain in Zungur-Miri-Galambi; Engr Joshua T Sanga who was represented and aspirant for Toro Federal Constituency and Mr Seth Francis, Member Monitoring and Evaluation Committee BASG.
Highlights of the event was prayers offered to God to direct the Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir as he take decision on what he will do next as well as all Political appointees and also all the aspirants who attended the meeting.
