He took to all his online platforms addressing his teeming followers over what he described as good pronouncement by the Executive Governor of Benue State, Dr. Samuel Ortom, over 2023 campaigns warning issued to zealous aides on getting distracted with politics.
Ortom had firmly warned serving commissioners who have ambitions of ruling the state to set aside the distraction of 2023 or get sacked.
Dr. Paul Angya, a front-line contender for the 2023 governorship of the state who is not in government welcome the pronouncement.
He said the Governor’s directive if strictly adhered to, will guarantee fair play ground between those in government and those outside the government.
His statement read as follows; “Good pronouncement by the Governor. This will create a level playing field for some of us who are outside government but have had to contend with people inside government with pockets full of money, access to government funds, cars, and other material resources, they even use official government programs or government engagements for personal campaign purposes. Should this directive be adhered to, we will separate the boys from the men.
“Congratulations to the Jeichira youth for progress made so far in our quest to take over leadership of Benue State. I urge the JGM to avoid distraction by way of division in its ranks and to remain focused for the task ahead.
“For our campaign organisation and committed loyalist, I urge courage, perseverance and sacrifice. Tighten up your seat belts, the race is about to get exciting (not tough) surely victory awaits us in 2023 🙏🏾Amen”, the statement stressed.
