5 dead as farmers, herders clash in Adamawa

Relative peace have been violated as five persons are feared dead and several others injured in a clash between farmers and herders in Kukta community in Waltadi District in Song Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
Recently, the council chairman Hon. Idris Yahaya told some journalists that after a stakeholder meeting between farmers and herders they promised free and fair celebration of his 100 days in office and wondered the cause of this clash.
The Adamawa state Police Command spokesman, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, confirmed the incident.
He said the Commissioner of Police, CP Morris Dankombo, has deployed operatives of the command at the scene and the situation is currently under control.
