Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri Sunday imposed a 24-hour curfew in the state with immediate effect.
The curfew followed activities of hoodlums across Yola, the state capital who attacked people with machetes and breaking into business premises carting away properties.
The Governor said only those on essential duties with valid identification would be permitted to move around during the period of the curfew.
He therefore appealed to citizens and residents of the state to comply with the directive, saying any person found contravening the order would be arrested and made to face the wrath of the law.
With the curfew imposed by the state Governor, the state Commissioner of Police, Afolabi Babatola, has deployed tasks force team drawn from Department of Operations, Mopol 14, State CID, SRRT, Crack Squad in conjunction with other security agencies to enforce the 24hrs curfew.

Property being looted, grains stolen
Adamawa State Police Command spokesman, SP Yahaya Nguroje said there is no death recorded as they are on top on the situation.
