Wikki Tourists FC sole administrator charges technical team, players on preparedness for task ahead

Newly appointed Interim Sole Administrator of Wikki Tourists FC, Baucji Haruna Bako, has charged players and technical crew to remain focused and committed as the Club intensifies preparations for the 2026/27 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.

Haruna Bako gave the charge on Thursday, during a visit to the team’s training session at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi, where players are currently undergoing assessment and selection ahead of the new season.

The exercise is aimed at identifying the most qualified players to represent Wikki Tourists FC in the forthcoming NNL Campaign.

The Interim Sole Administrator said the visit was to formally acquaint himself with the players and officials following his appointment.

He reminded the team that the collective responsibility before them is to secure an immediate return to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) at the end of the 2026/2027 football season.

He stressed that the objective can only be achieved through hard work, discipline, unity, and total Commitment from everyone involved.

Haruna Bako also urged the technical Crew to ensure that only the best and most deserving players were selected to wear the club’s colours in the new season.

While responding on behalf of the team, Technical Adviser, Bala Abubakar Mohammed and Captain, Yusuf Mohammed, assured the Interim Sole Administrator of the players’ and Coaches’ determination to give their best and work tirelessly towards returning Wikki Tourists FC to the NPFL.

Recall that the Wikki Tourists FC was relegated at the end of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier league after finishing in last bottom four, leading to the sacking of the former Management Committee and subsequent appointment of a Sole Administrator in the person of Haruna Bako.
