Newly appointed Gwandu Emirate Prime Prince hints on relationship with Government, traditional institutions

The new Prime Prince of Gwandu Emirate, Ahmed Abubakar, has pledged to use his appointment to solidify the existing synergy between the traditional institution and government to foster development in Kebbi State.

The Prince, also the Permanent Secretary for Ministry of Lands and Housing who was recently conferred the title of Sarkin ‘Yan Sarkin by Gwandu Emirate pledged his loyalty to the Emirate and Kebbi Government at large.

Abubakar who was speaking to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi explained that he would use his royal and government office simultaneously in fostering opportunities that would benefit not only the royal family but would as well galvanize support for Governor Nasir Idris-led Administration in its drive to take the state to higher heights.

The Prime Prince said: “Whoever was born into the royal family and live in it, reach the position of Permanent Secretary and appointed as Prime Prince, one needs to thank God and the Emir of Gwandu and his Council Members.”

He said as a youth he would justify the confidence reposed in their leadership not only in Kebbi State but the Country at large by ensuring that all the responsibilities enshrined in his office were carried out to the later.

The Prince explained further that: “I wii do so not forgetting to discharge my royal schedules without infringing on each responsibilities for the overall development of the state”.

Abubakar said hard work, dedication and commitment always attracts societal reward, pointing out that apart from his royal title, Governor Idris’ diligent governance earned him Knight of the Sokoto Caliphate by the Sultan of Sokoto.

“Such development is a thing of joy and worthy of thanks to Allah. It is source of encouragement. I am happy that my amiable Governor Nasir has received such tittle in the history of the Sultanate, the first of its kind. I will borrow the leaf of my boss in discharging my duties for societal growth,” the Prime Prince remarked
