It has become absolutely necessary to draw the attention of the public, particularly the people of Zuru emirate, on the continuation of the deliberate attempt to sabotage the ongoing reconstruction of the 87 killometres Koko-Zuru federal road project being executed by the Kebbi State government.
The apparent desperate attempt appeared to be championed by some individuals using some hired conspirators with fake names claiming to be commending Comrade Governor Nasir Idris over the project, discrediting some of the contractors and foolishly claiming to be sympathetic to unsuspecting and innocent people of Zuru emirate by alledging poor execution and slow pace of execution.
One Suleiman Abubakar Zuru of no fixed address who claimed to be a supporter of Comrade Governor Nasir Idris, in a circulated letter to Comrade Governor Nasir Idris criticised the execution of the project and even went further to advised for the revocation of a part of the project contract, obviously thinking of derailing the project for continous suffering of the innocent people of Zuru emirate.
There is no gain reminding the public about the destruction of the socio-economic fortunes that resulted in unimaginable hardship in a highly educated, hardworking, and resourceful people of Zuru emirate.
The unfortunate situation was caused by the over fifteen years of regrettabe abandonment of the road project before the administration of Comrade Governor Nasir Idris took over the project despite all odds.
However, inview of the terrible experience Comrade Governor Nasir Idris went through in the hands of known and unknown people before he got the contract revoked and handed over to him, it clear that the initial sabotoues are still bent on achieving their unpatriotic and inhuman activities to frustrate the ongoing through the sponsorship of their already failed mischievous campaign of calumny.
For the record, avoidance of doubt, and deliberate fabrication of falsehood, all three contractors have been on site and executing the project according to agreed specification, design, and standard.
It is equally worthy of note that there is no delay in the execution of the project in view of what is contained in the contract agreement which specified number of killometers at every stage of execution that must be verified and confirmation of quality and durability asceetained by the engineers before proceeding to the next stage.
In his recent Eid Eil-kabir Sallah goodwill message to Comrade Governor Idris, the Emir of Zuru Major-General Muhammadu Sani Sami Gomo ll has acknowledged and appreciated the developmental projects and programmes being executed in the emirate by the state Governor including the Koko-Zuru road project for which the people will forever remain grateful.
Therefore, the execution of the project in compliance with the design and specifications with expected high-quality is on course and any attempt to sabotage the project execution by any person or group of persons under any guise will undoubtedly fail.
