Guyuk-Shelleng Ethnic Nationalities in Abuja host Golfa Chaugwarau, applaud her humanitarian and philanthropic gestures

Coalition of Guyuk-Shelleng Ethnic Nationalities of Adamawa State, Abuja Chapter has thrown their weight behind Honourable Golfa Mallim Chaugwarau’s political ambition to represent Guyuk/Shelleng at the National Assembly in the Green Chambers.

The group is fascinated at the humanitarian and philanthropic works being carried out by Hon. Golfa in the constituency, even when she has not held any public office.
According to the group, Hon. Golfa has built and equipped hospitals/clinics in various communities, supplied electricity, provide portable water, empower youths and women and the vulnerable.
Other philanthropic and empowerment works carried out by Golfa include, distribution of palliative, organization of football tournaments and sport development supports, empowerments for traditional rulers, supports for faith-based organizations, procuring farm inputs for farmers, among others.
Explaining the purpose for the meeting and support, the convener and coordinator of Guyuk-Shelleng for Golfa, Hon. Edward Banjiram said the major preoccupation of the group is to unite all ethnic nationalities within the two LGAs to conform a united front and speak with one voice. He said the development will bring about positive development and growth to the masses. He said the group is solidly behind Hon. Golfa because of her humanitarian inroads, adding that she is the choice of the group, and the entire people of the Federal Constituency, comes 2027. He said the group has consulted wide before taking its decision.
Also speaking Comrade Williams Wulanga, organizing secretary who double as youth leader noted that philanthropic and humanitarian gestures being carried out by Hon. Golfa in the two local government has gone a long way to unite the people of Guyuk and Shelleng.
“I saw what is going on when I travelled to Guyuk recently. It is amazing to see a hospital well equipped in the hinter lands. You are doing all these with your resources. There is no doubt that if you are in a public office, you will do more,” he said.
Responding, Hon. Golfa stated that her humanitarian endeavour is not about tribe, religion or gender, it about humanity and a feeling of oneness.
She said having motivated by the level of poverty and suffering of her people, she is determined to do a little her strength carries. “I may not be the richest, but this is a commitment bore out of passion to ensure human capital development,” said the Guyuk/Shelleng Federal Constituency hopeful.
Hon. Golfa stated that her entrance into politics has one major agenda, which is ‘human capital development’. She thanked Guyuk-Shelleng Ethnic Nationalities, Abuja Chapter, for identifying with her desire to contribute her quota to improve the welfare of the people of Guyuk and Shelleng.
The event which was characterized by thunderous applause saw a heavy presence of the group fascinated by Hon. Golfa’s mind-blowing empowerment ongoing in the two LGAs.
