The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, has appreciated the people of the state for the unflinching support and cooperation being extended to APC administration.
Dr. Idris stated this at the distribution of empowerment items to people of Marafa ward in Birnin Kebbi Local Government organised by Alhaji Faruku Aliyu-Enabo, Jagaban Gwandu and Chairman, Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency.
He commended Jagaban Gwandu for the foresight and urged other politicians in the state to emulate the kind gesture.
The governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to continue to support and assist people, saying that the state government would also introduce empowerment programmes for the benefit of people of the state.
Also speaking, the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Sen. Abubakar Atiku-Bagudu, the State Chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC), Abubakar Kana Zuru, wives of the state governor, Hajiya Zainab-Nasare Nasir Idris and Hajiya Nafisa Nasir Idris appreciated Alhaji Faruku Aliyu Enabo for the empowerment.
They observed that Alhaji Faruku Enabo had been assisting people of his ward in particular and the state in general and urged other politicians to borrow a leave from Jagaban Gwandu.
On his part, the organiser of the empowerment programme, Alhaji Faruku Aliyu Enabo, pointed out that items distributed included; 50 cars, 100 motorcycles, 5,000 bags of rice, 50 water pumping machines, and N250 million cash.
He said the essence of the empowerment programme was to compliment the efforts of Gov. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu’s gesture in assisting the people.
