History was made at the 15th Valedictory and Prize-Giving Ceremony of Choice De Immaculate Demonstration School (CIDS), Obosi, in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, as Miss Saka Aliyat, a Yoruba student from Osun State, emerged as the overall best graduating student.

Aliyat received multiple awards for her outstanding academic performance across several subjects, including Igbo Language, English, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Economics, and Marketing.

In addition to her academic excellence, she was honored with other distinctions such as Best in Neatest/Complete Uniform, Most Hardworking Student, Most Disciplined, Most Punctual, and Affinity to Students.

Addressing her peers during the ceremony held at the school’s Promised Land Field, Aliyat encouraged students to remain focused and committed to their studies. She urged them to approach learning with enthusiasm, diligence, and discipline while adhering to the guidance of their teachers and the school director, whom she described as her mentor.

In his farewell address, the school’s Director, Mr. Solomy Ochokwu, advised the graduating students to uphold the values of courage, resilience, integrity, and hard work as they move on to the next phase of their lives.

“We are confident that as you embark on your next chapter, you will do so with boldness and purpose,” he said.
“Wear the armor of resilience because the world will test you. Fight back with integrity, honesty, and a strong work ethic. Remember the values you’ve learned here, honor your parents, and never forget your alma mater.”

The colorful event featured highlights such as the cutting of the graduation cake, presentation of prizes, ballet, hip-hop and cultural dances, spoken word performances, and talk shows.
