He sympathised with them and appealed to them to remain calm, assuring that ” i will do whatever it takes with the support of the Federal government to ensure the immediate rescue of our children.”
There after, Governor Idris proceeded to Zuru where he conveyed an emergency meeting with the heads of the security agencies in the state and traditional rulers of Zuru emirate with a view to have a comprehensive review of the existing strategies for joint appraisal with the top security chiefs being expected from Abuja as directed by President Bola Tinubu.
A combined team of security agencies, led by the Deputy Governor, Alhaji Umar Abubakar Tafida and the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida Yauri have embarked on a search and rescue mission in the forest between Kebbi and Zamfara states.
While the search has been intensified, Prayers for God’s divine intervention are similarly ongoing.
It could be recalled that in the early hours of monday some heavily armed bandits have attacked Government Girls Secondary School, Maga, abducted 25 students, killed the vice principal and injured some staff.
