The President of the NPFL Media Directors Forum, Mr Eche Amos, has stressed the importance of effective media department in the success of Nigeria Premier Football League clubs, urging media directors to discharge their responsibilities professionally and in line with ethical standards.

The President of the NPFL Media Directors Forum made the call at the seminar for Media Directors and Marketers in Enugu ahead of the 2026/27 NPFL season.

Eche, who is also the Media Director and board member of Nasarawa United, advised Media Directors not to succumb to pressure from club administrators to act contrary to professional rules and ethics.

He noted that media directors have a responsibility to guide administrators on appropriate actions that can enhance their clubs’ image, visibility, and overall brand value as well as the image laundry of the league as a whole.

According to him, the growth and sustainability of any NPFL club largely depends on the effectiveness of its media department.

“For a club to continue waxing stronger in terms of visibility and data gathering, it solely lies in the effectiveness of the media department,” he said.

Eche also commended the Enugu State Government for partnering the NPFL and their corporate sponsors Afrinvest to host this year’s workshop and praised the league body for sustaining the programme, which is now in its fourth edition.

He assured the league management body of improvement in the performance of the Media Directors and cooperation to promote the Nigeria Premier Football League to an enviable height.
