Bauchi APC gubernatorial candidate’s media team visits Police Commissioner, seeks collaboration to promote peace, security, responsible information

Media Team of the 2027 gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Bauchi State, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, SAN, on Tuesday, paid a courtesy visit to the St Police Commissioner, Sani-Omolori Aliyu, in furtherance of its resolve to partner with relevant agencies and stakeholders.
The M.A Media Team under the leadership of former Commissioner for Information, Hon. Umar Ibrahim Sade, paid the courtesy visit to the Commissioner with the aim of strengthening collaboration between the media team and the Police Command in promoting peace, security, and responsible public information in the State.
Other members of the entourage on the visit included Shamsuddeen Lukman Abubakar, SSA Communication, Alkasim Maigoro, former SSA New Media; Comrade Ningi, former MD BATV; and Hajiya Hansau Tijjani.
During the engagement, Umar Ibrahim Sade commended the Commissioner of Police and the entire Command for their commitment to maintaining law and order across the state.
He noted that effective policing and accurate information dissemination are critical to fostering public confidence and national cohesion.
The former Commissioner assured the Police of the M.A Media Team’s readiness to support the Command through factual reportage, public sensitization, and amplification of community policing initiatives that will help curb crime and enhance security.
In his response, the Commissioner of Police, Sani-Omolori Aliyu, appreciated the visit and lauded the initiative of the M.A Media Team to work closely with security agencies.
He emphasized the importance of partnership between the media and the Police in shaping public opinion and combating misinformation.
The Commissioner pledged the Command’s support and open-door policy, and called for continued synergy to ensure that Bauchi residents remain safe and well-informed.
