Governor Radda urges APC members in Mai’adua to remain united for development
Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has called on All Progressives Congress (APC) members and traditional rulers in Mai’adua Local Government Area to remain united and work together for the continued development of the area and Katsina State.
Governor Radda made the appeal on Friday while receiving a delegation from Mai’adua on a thank-you visit at Government House, Katsina.
The delegation was led by the Chairman of APC Stakeholders in Mai’adua and Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, Alhaji Yau Umar Gwajo-Gwajo.
The Governor recalled the circumstances surrounding the APC primary elections for National Assembly positions, noting that candidates emerged through a democratic voting process rather than consensus.
He assured party members who did not secure the party’s nominations that they remained valued members of the APC family and would continue to be considered in his administration.

“Our strength lies in our unity. I urge all party members and stakeholders to put aside their differences and work together for the progress of Mai’adua, Katsina State, and the success of our great party ahead of the 2027 general elections,” Governor Radda said.
Governor Radda also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for increasing federal allocations to states and the Federal Capital Territory, describing the development as a major boost that has enabled sub-national governments to implement impactful, people-centred projects.
The Governor further assured the delegation that the requests presented during the visit would receive due consideration, explaining that some of the proposed projects could be accommodated under ongoing government programmes or incorporated into the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP).
Earlier, the Chairman of APC Stakeholders in Mai’adua and Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, Alhaji Yau Umar Gwajo-Gwajo, said the delegation visited Government House to express appreciation for the Governor’s developmental interventions in the area.
He specifically commended the construction of a hospital and the ongoing Mai’adua International Market project, describing them as landmark initiatives that would stimulate economic activities, create employment opportunities for young people, and improve the wellbeing of residents.
Gwajo-Gwajo reaffirmed the commitment of APC members in Mai’adua to continue supporting Governor Radda’s administration and the success of the party.
Also speaking, the APC Chairman in Mai’adua, the Commissioner for Commerce, Industries and Tourism, Alhaji Yusuf Rabiu Jargaba, and the member representing Mai’adua in the Katsina State House of Assembly pledged to mobilise greater support for APC candidates and government programmes.
In his remarks, the Chairman of Mai’adua Local Government, Alhaji Na Allahu, commended Governor Radda’s leadership and developmental strides.
He appealed for additional financial support to enable the local government settle outstanding payments owed to contractors.
Delivering the vote of thanks, the Galadiman Daura and District Head of Mai’adua, Engineer Ahmed Diddiri Ahmed, appealed to Governor Radda to facilitate the fulfilment of an earlier commitment by the Minister of Livestock Development to establish a meat processing factory in Mai’adua to serve markets across the country.
The event was attended by the Speaker of the Katsina State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Nasir Yahya Daura; the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir; the Principal Private Secretary to the Governor, Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Turaji; and other top government officials.
