Governor Ahmadu Unaru Fintiri congratulated the victory of Governor of Osun state Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, on the just concluded governorship election in the state.
Fintiri said, the outcome is a reflection of the will of the people of the and their desire for continuity, good governance and people leadership.
The statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, the state governor said Adeleke’s victory was well deserved and expressed confidence in his ability to sustain development initiatives across Osun State.
According to Fintiri, “I congratulate Senator Ademola Adeleke on his well deserved victory. I do not doubt that he will continue to deliver on his mandate to transform Osin state and improve the lives of it’s citizenss.
He therefore commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as statesmanship and commitment to democratic principles during the electoral process.
Governor said the President has demonstrated respect for democracy by allowing the electoral process to proceed without interference.
I must commend President Bola Tinibu for standing on the side of democracy. By not interfering with the outcome of the process and by ensuring that the right was done, he has proven himself to be a true democrat. This is how democracy grows when the will of the people is respected irrespective of party lines.
Fintiri however urged political stakeholders and residents of Osun State to accept the outcome of the election in good faith and work together for the existing development of the state.
He prayed for wisdom, strength and divine guidance for Governor Adeleke as he continues to lead the state.
