NCPC congratulates Bishop Adegbite on appointment as Director of Mobilisation, faith-based, Christians for 2027 Presidential Campaign Council
The Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC, has congratulated its Executive Secretary, Bishop Prof. Stephen Adegbite, on his appointment as Director of Mobilization, Faith-Based (Christians) by the 2027 APC Presidential Campaign Council.
In a statement issued on Saturday, 22nd August 2026, by the Management and Staff of the Commission, NCPC expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for finding the NCPC boss worthy of the appointment.
The Commission described the appointment as well deserved and a recognition of Bishop Adegbite’s capacity, pedigree, and years of service to both the church and the nation.
“We are convinced that our dear Executive Secretary, who also doubles as the Chaplain of the Aso Villa Chapel and the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Lagos State, has all it takes to mobilize millions of Nigerian Christians to align favourably with the APC in the 2027 Presidential Election scheduled for 16th January, 2027,” the statement read.
It further stated: “Indeed, the pedigree of the Executive Secretary speaks volumes of his capacity to deliver on any national assignment given to him. Therefore, we make bold to state unequivocally that Bishop Prof. Stephen Adegbite is a tested performer, a round hole in a round peg, and a highly resourceful leader who is result-driven.”
The Commission noted that in the last two and a half years as Executive Secretary of NCPC, Bishop Adegbite has transformed Christian pilgrimage in Nigeria. According to NCPC, he has rekindled and restored hope to the Commission through effective stakeholder engagement and the successful conduct of hitch-free pilgrimage exercises.
NCPC expressed optimism that the new appointment will provide Bishop Adegbite another platform to serve the nation with dignity, good conscience, and patriotism.
