An APC stalwart in Ambursa District of Birnin Kebbi Local Government Area of Kebbi State, Ciso Nayaya Ambursa has on Tuesday presented a bundle of wrapper to each of the two thousand women from Laga, Ujariyo and Ambursa wards as part of efforts to support women for their loyalty to the party.
Performing the ceremony in Ambursa, he said his action to empower the women was motivated by Governor Idris’s welfarism and benevolence to the people of the state, promising to make the gesture a regular programme.
He stated that in Ambursa ward about one thousand women were pencilled down as recipients while Five hundred women from Ujariyo and Laga wards were expected to receive their wrappers after completing the distribution in Ambursa.
Nayaya Also called on the beneficiaries to make good use of the textile materials, appealing to them to continue supporting and cooperating with the Party towards attaining electoral success for president Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Nasir Idris come 2027.
He said supporting Governor Idris was a non contestable scenario because of his genuine support and implementation of policies and programmes of direct impacts on the lives of the people in all aspects of human existence.
One of the recipients, Hajjo Buba, told newsmen that with the current state of economic hardship where families live from hand to mouth, the wrapper came at a better time, promising to use it judiciously.
She further called on the wealthy and friends of the Governor to emulate Ciso Nayaya by providing support to people in arears covering foodstuffs, heath issues, educational faculties and petty trading in order to improve the living conditions of families.
