Sustain virtues of ethnic tolerance to enhance societal growth- Kebbi group tells members

The Chairman of the People of Gobir Kingdom residing in Kebbi State, Bashar Abdullahi Sardauna, has called on them to extoll the virtues of togetherness by promoting peace and harmony in their relationship with other ethnic groups in Kebbi.
Addressing the members in Birnin Kebbi shortly after assumption of the mantle of leadership, he reminded them as Gobirawas they were known to be a peace loving community that always stood by one another and the society at large irrespective of religious, political and ethnic affiliations.
Sardauna therefore urged them to use their number as an advantage to provide moral and political allegiance to Governor Nasir Idris during the electioneering and voting periods by ensuring their votes were one hundred percent for APC.
Also speaking, the National Officer of the group, Shuaibu Garba Takoki, acknowledged the fact that Gobir people were hardworking, therefore urged them to remain steadfast in their chosen trades and profession and contribute positively for the overall development of the society.
Takoki gave assurance that the Gonirawas living across the 36 states of the Federation and the FCT would be mobilised to participate in the campaign rallies of Governor Idris as well as during the voting exercises in order to secure victory for APC from top to bottom.
In his address, Sarkin Gobirawan Gwandu, Ciso Nayaya Ambursa, said apart from gathering to inaugurate new leadership of the Association they were also there to remind all members the good things the Governor had been doing to them, as such he would remain their sole Gubernatorial candidate for next year’s elections.
He said: “Honesty is our trademark and we will make sure we preserve it. We will continue to relate with other ethnic groups in Kebbi to drum support for President Tinubu and Governor Nasir Idris. We will not forget the Governor in our prayers. He has appoinandd some of our members into his Cabinet. Our goal is to make him happy”.
