Ohanaeze Youth Council National President Comrade Igboayaka Under Young Progressive Party (YPP) joined the race of Orlu/Orsu/ Oru East federal Constituency; vow to Unseat Incumbent APC Lawmaker
The National President General of the apex sociocultural youth organization of the Igbo race worldwide, Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC), Comrade Igboayaka O. Igboayaka, has made the final list published by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the Orlu/Orsu/Oru East Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general election.
On the INEC final list, the National President General of the Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC) Worldwide, Comrade Igboayaka O. Igboayaka, was listed as the Federal House of Representatives candidate for Orlu/Orsu/Oru East Federal Constituency under the Young Progressive Party (YPP).
The emergence of Comrade Igboayaka O. Igboayaka as the flag bearer of the Young Progressive Party (YPP) for Orlu/Orsu/Oru East Federal Constituency has significantly changed the political narrative in the Constituency.
According to political observers, his long-standing advocacy for the rule of law, social justice, and his bold stance against the marginalization of Ndigbo in the Nigerian political context has positioned him as the candidate to beat in 2027.
On Wednesday 16th September speaking on the new political development in Orlu/Orsu/Oru East, Comrade Igboayaka stated that youths constitute the largest population of electoral value in Orlu/Orsu/Oru East and in Igboland at large and will leverage on numerical strength to elect him on 16th January 2027
He urged Youths in Orlu/Orsu/Oru East Federal Constituency to make the necessary sacrifice to support his candidacy, and to also back National Assembly candidates across Igboland who share the same aspiration and vision to rescue Igboland from economic strangulation and insecurity.
The Young Progressive Party (YPP) House of Representatives candidate for Orlu/Orsu/Oru East Federal Constituency, Comrade Igboayaka O. Igboayaka, has described the 2027 election as another political opportunity for Ndi-Orlu, Ndi-Orsu, and Ndi-Oru East to engage in sober political reflection.
He stated that the people must evaluate the journey so far and the quality of political representation the constituency has received in the last 28 years, and decide if they want a continuation of political slavery or a new direction of political liberation through his aspiration.
YPP House of Representatives candidate for Orlu/Orsu/Oru East Federal Constituency, Comrade Igboayaka O. Igboayaka, has accused past representatives of political negligence and transactional politics.
Comrade Igboayaka stated that Ndi-Orlu, Ndi-Orsu, and Ndi-Oru East have lived in “political orphanage” for 28 years due to self-serving representatives at the National Assembly.
He added that since the 2019 general election till date, the constituency (Orlu, Orsu and Oru East) have been besieged by insecurity because of the absence of an Igbo-oriented Federal Representative and poor state government management.
Comrade Igboayaka O. Igboayaka, defined himself as the scriptural King David verse King Saul, stated that his decision to run under Young Progressive Party (YPP)was born out of “colossal leadership failure” and sabotage at both state and federal levels.
Speaking on the state of representation, Comrade Igboayaka said:
“It was at this juncture of poor representation and betrayal that I reflected on what has befallen the Igbo Nation, particularly my federal constituency. I decided to offer myself like scriptural King David on a divine mandate to dethrone King Saul.”
He appealed to the youths of Orlu, Orsu and Oru East to add unprecedented electoral value to his aspiration “to dethrone the Saul of our time and enthrone King David in Orlu/Orsu/Oru East Federal Constituency in 2027”
“Over the years of irritating political culture, our mothers and women have been turned into political Wizkid— hired to sing and dance at political rallies while their children suffer.
Our youths have been turned into thugs, forced into all kinds of criminalities and political orphans — abandoned for 4 years, only remembered to eat crumbs during campaigns. Political servitude against our mother’s/women and youths in Orlu/Orsu/Oru East federal Constituency and Igboland at large must stop as you elect me to this privilege position to be the servant of the people”
“It is time to go back to the rudiments of leadership. The people must be the masters, while leaders are the servants of the people.
To lead is to serve, and to be served is to be the master.
The people are the masters. This is my ideology, this is my belief, and this is my strength. I was born to serve the people,” Comrade Igboayaka affirmed.
“I therefore call on all men and women of goodwill — in Orlu, in Orsu, in Oru East, and across Igboland — to key into this aspiration.
This is not about me, it’s setting up a pest of Leadership standard. This is about rescuing our constituency and our people from the grip of transactional politicians who have sold our future for personal gain. Let us salvage Orlu/Orsu/Oru East and Igboland at large together” Comrade Igboayaka concluded.
