Fondly described as an Amazon, Dabiri-Erewa, born to the Erogbogbo family in Ikorodu, Lagos State on October 11, 1962, has continued to demonstrate resilience, courage, and purposeful leadership in advancing the interests of Nigerians at home and abroad.

 Her dedication to strengthening Nigeria’s relationship with its citizens in the diaspora has remained central to the Commission’s mandate of harnessing diaspora resources, expertise, and investments for national growth.

Under her leadership, NiDCOM has continued to promote diaspora participation in nation-building, encourage investment in Nigeria, and advocate for the welfare and protection of Nigerians living abroad.

 Her commitment to fostering stronger connections between Nigerians in the diaspora and their homeland underscores the importance of diaspora engagement as a catalyst for sustainable development.

At 64, Hon. Dabiri-Erewa remains a symbol of determination and service, inspiring colleagues, families, and stakeholders through her passion for the Nigerian project and her advocacy for the millions of Nigerians making meaningful contributions across the world.
