Bauchi 2027: NGOs endorse Senator Buba/Baheejah as PRP Governor, deputy governorship candidates

Over 2,600 Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) across Bauchi State, in collaboration with the Women Coalition for Sustainable Peace and Viable Democratic Gains and the Baheejah Mahmood Support Association (BAMASA), have endorsed Hajiya Baheejah Mahmood Abdullahi (Mai Dankwali), as the Deputy Governorship candidate to Senator Shehu Buba Umar under the platform of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP).

This was contained in a statement to newsmen in Bauchi by Hajiya Halima Nuhu Mohammed, where she said their decision to back the candidature of Baheejah came at the end of their meeting.

“We believe that the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) embodies the ideals and principles that Senator Shehu Buba Umar and Hajiya Baheejah Mahmood Abdullahi have championed throughout their years of public service”, she said.

According to the statement, “PRP remains one of the few political parties whose philosophy is fundamentally centred on justice, equity, accountability, inclusion, good governance, and of course sustainable development for all, regardless of gender, age, religion, ethnicity, or social status.”

Halima expressed confident that Senator Shehu Buba Umar/Hajiya Baheejah Mahmood Abdullahi ticket will provide ideologically purposeful, people-centred leadership capable of advancing peace, prosperity, and inclusive development across Bauchi State.
