Bauchi APC chairmanship: Former Governor Yuguda’s political ally, Kundak declares aspiration to contest

As the race for Chairmanship office in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi state hots up, a close ally of former Governor of Bauchi State, Isa Yuguda, Isah Yuguda, Abdulmuminu Kundak has formally declared his ambition to contest office  in the forthcoming state congress.
Abdulmumuni Kundak, who was a former Special Adviser during the administration made the declaration on Tuesday when he visited the State Secretariat of the APC to meet with the Caretaker Executive members of the party.
While speaking at the occasion, Abdulmumuni Kundak explained that he was at the party Secretariat to formally introduce himself and intimate the caretaker committee of his interest to vie for the number one seat in the party.

He also explained that his decision to run for the position is to transform the party and make it formidable so that it would take over government from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in 2023.
The chairmanship aspirant promised to provide an all inclusive leadership if elected and bring more politicians to join APC as next leader of the party stressing that the APC is still the party to beat in the state.
He commended the Caretaker Executive for holding the party together in spite of not having power in the state saying that their resolute stance has remained most commendable. 
While presenting his letter of intent to contest, the aspirant said that he has gone round the state to meet strategic stakeholders of the party before agreeing to come out to aspire saying that his target is how to bring APC back to power in the state come 2023. 
While Responding, the state party Caretaker Chairman, Uba Ahmed Nana who was represented by his Deputy, Mohammed A. Hassan appreciated the aspirant for indicating interest to contest for the leadership post.
He said that the party Caretaker Committee would provide a level playing ground to all aspirants vying for various offices even as he urged them to eschew campaigns of calumny as they canvass for support from members and stakeholders.
The Caretaker Chairman lamented that the party lost the gubernatorial seat in 2019 due to some irreconcilable differences among the then leaders but expressed confidence that issues have been amicably resolved and the party is now solid and united.
