The Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi Sunday said that 95 percent of his projects in the state were awarded through the concerned ministries under the direct labour contract.
He further averred that he was the best among the presidential aspirants seeking the ticket of All Progressives Congress, (APC) in the forthcoming elections.
He stated this in Abakaliki, the state capital while speaking with members of the Nigeria Guild of Editors, (NGE).
His words “in Ebonyi state, 95% of the jobs are done through direct labour, through the ministries.
“So, we are looking for somebody who can lead Nigeria, I think I can do the job. I have the energy, I have the wisdom, I have the training, I am a professional Engineer,” he explained.
Umahi recommended that an Engineer should be given a chance to address the nation’s infrastructural decay, noting that Nigeria does not need a politician at the time it was facing infrastructural decay.
