A Karshi Grade 1 Area Court, Abuja, on Thursday granted one Nanah Nani, standing trial for alleged theft of shoes bail in the sum of N50,000.
Nani, whose address was not given, is being tried on a count charge of theft, an offence he denied committing.
The judge, Aliyu Kagarko, who granted the defendant bail, also ordered him to produce one surety in like sum and adjourned the case until Oct. 19 for hearing.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Mahmud Lawal, told the court that the defendant was arrested and brought to Karu Police Station, Abuja, on Sept. 18.
He alleged that the defendant was arrested for various criminal offences, including stealing another suspect’s shoes.
Lawal said that the offence contravened the provisions of Section 287 of the Penal Code. (NAN)
