I use this day to reiterate my stand on the need to ensure that the rights and future of the girl-child is never trampled upon.
The International Day of the Girl Child 2022, emphasizes on the urgent need to protect the girl child’s rights and future. Of course, their time is now because we have long witnessed a paradigm shift in the lofty heights a woman can achieve. Yes, the girl child’s potential is a brime storm and must be properly channeled.
So I say, We owe our girl child; our daughters, sisters, wives, and mothers the center stage, and an uninhibited, unbroken, complete, and unbiased future.
Dear Friends, despite the investment made in promoting the rights of the girl child and ensuring a future free from intimidation for them, they are still as of this day, faced with heaps of challenges,This is why we must strive to see that we end the continued obstacles that they face in their struggle to realize their full potential.
Therefore, we must accomplish this with well-coordinated and collective efforts southern Taraba.
If voted in to power the greatest way to invest in their future is to believe strongly in their capability and offer them a chance to take the initiative by putting them at the forefront of change initiatives, listening to their voices, acting on their requests, and welcoming them into tables where decisions are made.
All in all, as we observe the International Girl Child Day today, I celebrate every girl child out there, and I implore you to keep on keeping on.
