Abul Qassim Islamic Center hosts workshop for schools, religious groups

Markaz Abil Qassim Islamic Center, Kafanchan, Kaduna State, has successfully concluded its annual three-day workshop aimed at fostering moral values and promoting unity among Muslim youth. The event, which attracted students from Islamic schools and members of various religious groups, focused on instilling positive values and enhancing understanding of Islamic principles.
The workshop featured lectures and presentations by prominent Islamic scholars, addressing critical issues related to the lives and future of young Muslims.
Speaking at the 15th edition of the event, the head of the center, Sheikh Aminu Qassim, urged Muslims to set aside internal and interfaith differences. He emphasized that Islam upholds justice and prohibits oppression, regardless of an individual’s religion. Sheikh Aminu also appealed to the government to support similar initiatives that foster peaceful coexistence and strengthen social harmony.
In his remarks, Sheikh Ibrahim Mai Ashafa from Kano commended the center’s efforts in promoting Islamic education and morality. He highlighted the core objectives of Islam, including the protection of lives, property, dignity, intellect, and lineage, calling on the Muslim community to uphold these values.
The workshop coordinator, Ustaz Ahmad Tijjani Danmaikosai, expressed satisfaction with the program’s progress over the years despite challenges. He called on Muslims to continue working together to achieve greater unity and shared purpose.
The Emir of Jama’a, His Royal Highness Alhaji Dr. Muhammadu Isa Muhammadu II graced the occasion and commended the organizers and participants. He stressed the importance of peace as the foundation for societal growth and development.
The event concluded with the presentation of awards to participants, followed by prayers led by the Chief Imam of Jama’a, Sheikh Kabir Danazumi Kassim, and his deputy.
