Adamawa Governor Fintiri impressed with DSS for rescuing kidnapped Catholic priests

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri is impressed on the efforts of the Department of State Services (DSS) over rescuing of two Catholic priests kidnapped in Numan.
He said efforts is worth commendable without paying ransom and thanked the DSS Director General and the Adamawa State Command for the successful operation.
Governor Fintiri made the remarks through a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikau made available to journalists in Yola.
The Governor assured that his administration will continue to prioritize the security of lives and property, making it difficult for criminals to operate.
“We will not spare anybody found wanting no matter who you are,” he said.
The prompt action of the DSS operatives, that led to the rescue of Rev. Fathers Matthew David Dusami and Abraham Samman, and the arrest of the suspect, Tahamado Jonathan Damien, a Church member.
The Governor noted the importance of intelligence sharing and cooperation with other law enforcement agencies.
The Governor said, “I want to believe the efforts of the DSS, Police, Armed Forces and others security agencies will give investors and residents the confidence to live and invest in the state, as peace and security are key to socio-economic development.”
The victims were abducted from their residence at a convent in Gweda Mallam, Numan Local Government Area two months ago.
