Advocacy for Positive Behavioral Patterns Initiative, FCT Secondary Education Board partner to behaviourally empower students

The Advocacy for Positive Behavioral Patterns Initiative (APBPI) is to collaborate with the FCT Secondary Education Board to launch a groundbreaking program focused on fostering positive behaviour among secondary education students in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The program, set to commence in the coming weeks, will address critical behavioral issues such as conflict resolution, truancy, and other challenges faced by students in their academic and personal lives.

This was contained in a statement by the Initiative to Apex News Exclusive on Thursday.

By partnering with the FCT Secondary Education Board, this initiative aims to provide comprehensive support and guidance to students, empowering them to navigate through these challenges successfully.

According to the statement, with the overarching goal of creating a conducive learning environment that nurtures responsible and respectful behaviour, the program will utilize innovative strategies and evidence-based practices to equip students with essential life skills.

It stated that through workshops, seminars, and interactive sessions, participants will learn effective conflict resolution techniques, understand the importance of attendance and engagement in school, and develop strategies for making positive choices in their daily lives.

“This partnership represents a significant milestone in our efforts to promote positive behavioral patterns among secondary education students in the FCT,” said Mariz Isikwe, the spokesperson of the Initiative.

“By working hand in hand with the FCT Secondary Education Board, we can reach more students and make a meaningful impact on their lives,” Mariz said.

The Advocacy for Positive Behavioral Patterns Initiative and the FCT Secondary Education Board extend an invitation to the public to join in supporting this vital program.

It stressed that together, a brighter future for the students of the Federal Capital Territory.

In line with the efforts of the government and parents in investing greatly in the behaviour of younger people in Nigeria, this initiative aims to mold students into well-rounded individuals.

“As behaviour forms the foundation upon which a sane society is built, our joint endeavor seeks to complement existing initiatives and reinforce the values of responsibility, respect, and integrity,” the statement noted.
