The AIG in charge of Zone 13 has assured that there will be no room for illegal arrest and detention, extortion, extra judicial killings, as the newly commissioned Police Zonal Headquarters, begins its full operation.
He also assured of improved security situation within the Zone.
Our correspondent covered media briefing by the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of the zone, AIG Mohammed Danmallam and reports that Zone 13 Headquarters Ukpo, Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra State, will be in charge of Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi Police Commands.
Addressing the press shortly after a meeting with the three Commissioners of Police under the Zone, including Mr. John Abang of Anambra State Police Command, that of Enugu, Mr. Amad Abdullham and their Ebonyi counterpart, Mr. Philip Sule Makpo.
The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 13, AIG Danmallam assured they will do their best to promote good relationship between the police and the citizenry.
He further stressed that under his watch, no extra judicial killing, unlawful tutor, among others will be recorded.
AIG Danmallam pleaded for the support and co-operation of other security agencies and members of the public to enable them achieve the desired goal.
The AIG who described the media as partners in progress said they will provide an emergency number for the members of the public assuring of paying attention to all petitions and valuable information.
He also promised to protect the Identity of anyone who provides them with information that will aid their smooth and effective operation.
AIG Danmallam further stressed that the issue of headsmen and farmers clash will be addressed as peaceful coexistence within the Zone will be given priority.
