The Anambra State chapter of the Labour Party (LP) has called on Nigerians to use the nation’s 65th Independence Anniversary as an opportunity for reflection and renewed commitment to unity, equity, and people oriented governance.
In a goodwill message signed by the State Chairman, Comrade Peter Okoye, the party congratulated Nigerians at home and abroad, describing the milestone as both historic and symbolic.
Despite Nigeria’s ongoing challenges, the LP said the resilience and unity of its people continue to sustain hope for a brighter future.
“The Labour Party remains committed to promoting equity, justice, and governance that puts the people first,” the statement read. “We believe Nigeria can overcome its trials and achieve its full potential through visionary leadership and collective will.”
Okoye encouraged Ndi Anambra and Nigerians across the country to stay hopeful and engaged in the nation building process, stressing that progress depends on a shared sense of purpose and determination.
“As we celebrate this anniversary, let us reaffirm the bonds that unite us and work together toward a more prosperous and just Nigeria,” he said.
The party extended warm wishes to all Nigerians on the occasion of the 65th Independence Anniversary.
