Ankpa/Olamaboro/Omala: APC aspirants call for cancellation of primary election

One of the aspirants, Ben Adaji
Two contestants in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for Ankpa/Olamaboro/Omala Federal Constituency of Kogi State have called on the National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole to cancel the election on grounds of irregularities and violence that trailed the exercise.
The aspirants are Mr Ben Adaji and Mr Abduljelil Momoh Yahaya.
At a joint press conference in Lokoja, they alleged that the process was allegedly hijacked by some state government officials to ensure the emergence of an anointed candidate.
According to Mr Adaji, the primary which was originally billed to hold at the Ankpa Township Stadium was moved to the Kogi State Government Lodge in Ankpa despite the repeated outcry from aspirants against the decision.
Abduljelil also corroborated the situation noting that it was worrisome that they could witness such a thing despite the repeated assurances by the governor that they would be level playing field for all aspirants.
