The Commandant General of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC), Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, has decorated Obasa Ayodele Babajide with the rank of Assistant Commandant General of Corps.
Ayodele joined the Corps in 2004 as a graduate pioneer staff and has since risen through the ranks.
He has an impressive international and local service record in various sensitive world-class capacities defending the Corps mandates.
He has attended several international meetings and exhibitions, including those held by the International Civil Defence Organization in Switzerland, Qatar, Kyrgyzstan, Algeria, Benin Republic, Togo, and Cote D’Ivoire.
Ayodele also attended several overseas training/courses on countering violent extremism, security and identity management, regional diplomacy training course, critical incidence course, essential management skills course, leadership and team building course, and strategic management course.
ACG Obasa was born on March 31st, 1969 in Jos, Plateau State to the famous Obasa family of Ijero Local Government Area of Ekiti State.
He holds a Masters of Art degree in International Law and Diplomacy (1997). Prior to his appointment as ACG he was a zonal Commandant at the Zone O Abuja zonal Command of the Corps.
ACG Obasa is happily married with children.
The brief decoration ceremony took place at the National Headquarters of the Corps on Friday February 23, 2024 where he was congratulated on his deserving elevation to this enviable rank.
