Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has been given a pat on the back by the Christian Community in the State for running an all inclusive government without ethno-religious discrimination or segregation.
The assertion was made by the Chairman, Bauchi State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev Dr Abraham Damina Dimeus during a Ramadan Iftar (Fast breaking) hosted by the Governor for the Christian Community held at the New Banquet Hall of the Government House.
He stressed that the Governor has never hidden his love for the Christian Community since he was elected and inaugurated in 2019 pointing out that the Community has not had it better than now.
The CAN Chairman repeatedly told the Governor to rely on the Christian Community for his political profession assuring that the Community remains behind him all the time.
The statement of the CAN Chairman was corroborated by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Christian Affairs, Pastor Zakka Magaji as well as the Chairman, Youths Wing of CAN, who both appreciated the Governor for carrying Christian Community along in governance.
They also variously commended the Governor for not segregating against other ethnic groups residing in the State but bringing them in always in the scheme of things pledging that they will continue to support the administration as well as his future political aspirations.
While responding, Bala Mohammed appreciated the Christian Community in the State for the continued support and prayers his administration has enjoyed since 2019 when he was first elected and inaugurated.
The Governor stressed that in his entire political journey, the Christian Community has stood firmly behind him ensuring that he got massive support and votes during elections pledging never to abandon them.
He stressed that for Nigeria and particularly Bauchi State to move forward positively, people must do away with ethno-religious bigotry and revert to the good old days where people were not judged or treated by the content of their tribe and or religious beliefs but by good character.
Bala Mohammed reassured the Christian Community of his administration’s commitment to continue to support particularly by opening up the rural areas where majority of people are residing in order to take development to the doorstep of the people.
